”Pint-Sized Loser” was supposed to be a Nadine Dorries quote. It’s just nobody is willing to read her book to verify this

Oh here we go. Sensational headlines on a podcast. Why don’t you say the West as in the Europeans? We don’t say the South is afraid of Russia. Stop generalizing. Be upfront and clear and direct.

The bit about the Tory decline narrative was interesting. The view from Scotland has been one of Tory decline, as an effective party machine, since the early 1990s. Near complete antipathy towards Tory government for a decade before that. It is heartening to hear UK commentators catching up

Simon Calder is wrong in so many respects. Why don’t the panel challenge him when he says ’eco’ tourism after describing a very long carbon fuelled journey involving a plane. Later, he spouts some nonsense about how people catching buses wouldn’t mind losing the £2 fare limit as long as they received a good quality service. Hmmm... never noticed my wages increasing at the same rate the fares did before the cap. He’s clever, but also incredibly dense.

I enjoy the show. It would be even more useful if, when discussing UK politics, some mention could be made of 50% of Scots want the Union to end. Now. Not much point planning for Union future really 🤷‍♂️

Does a price cap help reduce key components of the CPI calculation? If so, is this an all out attempt to meet one of his inflation pledges? So if one supermarket sells a cheap loaf they’ll use that?

Just listened to the live programs. Both brilliant

Thank you, this was great even by your usually high standards. All credit to all of you who put the programme together. 👋👋👋

Call me old fashioned but I find the liberal swaggering gratuitous and attempted normalisation of the use of F word and its variants jarring, detracting from the force of what could otherwise be an interesting debate. Do please cut it out. The word has its place but not here.

Boris is a remainer. How can anyone say that with a straight face, is beyond me.

Actually forget it. I’m giving up on this podcast because of his swearing. I swear plenty, but he’s too much

Does ian dunt have to sayall the time? It’s tedious and adds nothing

I can hardly believe it. A podcast dedicated to people who want only to moan and complain and whinge and belly ache. Only Britain could support such a depressing, negative, life-wasting notion. Cheer up all :)
