Hearing Liz go through this all again is heartbreaking the way it was handled. I’ve been following her since it 1st began. My brother was friends with 1 of the 5 white swan victims. And I was listening to my police scanner when it happened. Knowing that Josiah, Jon and their families haven’t gotten any justice is horrible. Joe Brusic needs to do something about that. #hemattered

I was really intrigued by the thought of watching the new Netflix documentary Convicting a Murderer until I realized that Candace Owens is involved. She is a big time right wing ”news” personality and that makes me very skeptical about watching. How fair and truthful is the information in this new docuseries? I may still watch, but I’m a little disappointed that Jim, Laura, and Lisa have chosen to give this woman an additional platform.

I find this really enervating to listen to Lisa defending the Making a Murderer creators - the creators made choices to leave things out, and skewed the narrative a certain way. If they did this inadvertently, then it is their incompetence or lack of experience - so stop making excuses for them!

Everyone who makes a documentary has to deal with a huge amount of material and information! Come on! What a ridiculous thing to say! I worked as a researcher in theatre and TV, and frequently had to deal with enormous amounts of information and sift through it, distil it down and decide how to tell the story! It’s part of their job! It’s no excuse to say that. If they can’t handle that, they shouldn’t be making documentaries.

Why do you have to beep out his name?

An excellent discussion, as ever, but I can’t get over how nobody has even mentioned what a gross act it is! Who would want to suck anyone’s tongue other than a lover!! Incredible.

I am a midwife in the UK of 23 years experience. In the argument of the infant being born for some time before being put in the water for no more than a couple of days. There is no way a child who was born alive, survived for several weeks and then died would have meconium in the colon. Babies have meconium in their bowel for a maximum of 5-7 days only, because in order to keep them alive they will need to be fed, this food will change the consistency, colour and content of the stool!

No, he’s not on drugs. He’s slurring because he’s lying and he wants to sound sad and melancholic.

Did not love the defending of the images getting out...

Maybe she saw the cars and thought, he wouldn’t hide the car somewhere that would be easily seen? If this wasn’t the police covering thier butts, she may have thought about where the best place to hide it may be and start there. In either scenario it was still found there... it still shows Avery did it.

None of the victims deserved for any of this to happen, but it needs to be said ... If you send compromising photos to another person (even someone whom you *think* you know, what do you expect to happen? If people stopped doing that, these perverts would have no fodder. This is NOT victim shaming; it is common sense.

I love episode 26. Growing up in a family that has a mix of regional dialects, the pronunciation differences always fascinated me. The interest in their dialects and colloquialisms made me much more interested in history, linguistics, and sociology.
