Antipsychotics are commonly used in autism but arenโ€™t licensed and have side effects like weight gain and potentially restlessness.

I waited until my son was 18 before we tried meds for my son's anxiety and depression. He's verbal but struggles to communicate how he's feeling. The Lexapro & Prozac helped but he put on too much weight to be safe and they made him so sleepy he couldn't stay awake during the day. We took him off both of those. He is now on Lamictal for mood stabilizers and melatonin at night, so far seems to be working better.

Too much blathering about unrelated things. Just start the podcast topic, will ya? We don't care about snow plows and comedy clubs...

My heart still hurts at the loss of my childhood friend Lorena. One of the kindest souls on earth. Love to Kirk and the children.
