It seems you keep making the mistake of judging other life forms by human terms - and the statement Re “intelligent life forms,” taking a really long time to form - um Nope. They had recent share Re: an intelligent form of life that spread impressively and rapidly and based an underground rapid transit system on it. Didn’t they?! Other life forms may be less intelligent or far more intelligent and may have forms of intelligence we do not even acknowledge yet here!
If there were any money left - I’d probably put it in trust for the children of the families housed that 1st year future house/condo or education upon turning 18 yrs of age. 😁😁
And I would make sure that each of the Truly “Efficient Low Income Healthy Apts Buildings/Properties had at least 2 on grounds live-in Maintenance workers/repair certified/insured to keep things well kept. And the security for all exterior and communal interior spaces as well. So all could have same safety features as wealthier condo dwellers need and get today.
Those Efficiencies would have ALL the Best Mid range money saving and efficiency extras such avg energy efficient and solar powered appliances: Heating/AC etc. And make the best use of every square inch of Square footage space. And The outdoor surrounding area (or interior atrium human made nature spaces)would be responsibility designed to use the least amt. of water etc. as well.
Now, to answer your other questions— How would I use $1Billion+ $? —I would hire a fix and flip small team of top pros and purchase long time abandoned but fix and flip-able large buildings that would not take much to convert i to efficiency apartments for all homeless ppl/families with 4 or less ppl in there immediate family/households and allow them to pay what they truly can comfortably afford for said efficiency condo/apt. No less than $100 mo / no more than $650.00 mo. ( UtilitiesInc!)
At the point where and individual citizen’s personal freedoms/liberties cause significant harm or death to other individuals that negates their “right,” to continue abusing said freedom(s)/liberties to the point of being a threat to self/others/ALL Humanity.

I find it fascinating that the majority of Americans seem to be oblivious by choice to what should be obvious and I’m speaking of negative things that have been very much exposed in various ways over the past several years time, and the majority of Americans are walking around and acting as if as unhealthy ignorance, enslaved and fearful, and add each other against each other as they can possibly keep us.
It’s likely that the huge $ that various US and world leaders make on the DL from the illnesses caused by both “unhealthy” and “healthy” pre packaged foods more than recoups the $ losses on such Cartel-like Such as Sugar and etc.

What a great episode...I always thought there was more to Poe’s story! Another thought: Poe married his cousin to save her from some unnamed situation. This was very much in vogue with the chivalrous nature of men in the South at this time. Older men in the family were expected to protect and defend the younger women. Not necessarily by marrying them...but maybe Edgar couldn’t find any other way to save his cousin’s reputation. Anyway, thanks for defending ol’ Poe’s honor.
