Some assumptions here: that categories of sexuality have remained unchanged across all of biblical history. It moved from polygamy to monogamy for example. Our understanding of gender and orientation is also not determined by power imbalance or a patriarchal value system anymore.
is there any merit to say that abraham in the loins of jacob, paid for that field. like some sort of seminal representation or similar to how we in adam sinned, abraham in jacob bought the field.
It seems right that God would communicate with animals. He made the animals come to Noah and gave Noah the ability to communicate with them. Also God communicated with Balaam's ass. If my ass talked to me, I would listen. I think that the serpent communicated before it was cursed, and God seems to address the serpent when cursing the creature. It seems logical that God could communicate with animals and that at one time, humans could too.
With our congregations becoming more and more heterogenous it seems to me that it would be better to either acknowledge all soldiers regardless what country they fought for or stop treating military activity as a virtue
