Whilst labiaplasty is mainly done for purely cosmetic reasons nowadays, influenced no doubt by , it is sometimes done for purely medical reasons. For example a friend and colleague had it done as firstly she had an abnormal growth on one that needed to be removed anyway, and that one happened to be longer than the other. So the surgeon recommended removing the excess tissue to be on the safe side.
