Fantastic Podcast. Wonderful topics are explored by relevant historians! Thank you.
This reminds me of the police in the US. One cop will beat a citizen, and other cops will help, but the cop that doesn’t jump into the beating will stand around and not try to stop it. The blue line of silence.

Can’t hear the audio on the authors part., it’s all muffled and distorted. Often is on your podcasrs
An interesting episode. However, close to the end, a sad lapse. Scotland was dismissed in a passing phrase before the podcast settled down to the much more interesting details of individual English towns. This speaks to the sea in which we swim and is exactly the sort of incident which reinforces the Scottish view of the Union. No overt prejudice, just unthinking dismissive attitudes. Liz O’Malley
Great app. Very broad base of educational resources and opportunities, all encapsulated in a user-friendly app, that provides access to persons of varying academic backgrounds and age grades.

As I recall, the change was that depth charges were not dropped from 25 feet, they were set to go off at a depth of 25 feet, they were dropped from much higher.
The Crimean War specials are my favourites, as well as Life in a WW2 Tank regiment
A fascinating look and astute analysis of the complex history of the British Empire.
