I had a thought about Bernice and Commie. Maybe the death date was not on the stone because she was NOT buried there. Maybe they bought the stone and left the date blank for when she passed away, but by the time she did, she was married to someone else and buried somewhere else?

Take that quilt out of the closet and put it on your bed! Even if it’s just folded at the end of the bed. It brings back lovely memories. I have one my mother made like that with pieces of all our clothes. It means so much to me since she has been gone for a long time
