What an absurd episode! Sheer propaganda against Russia 😆😆😆

Thank you for doing this series. As a former member of a cult it's been helpful to hear about other cults and particularly how similar many of their bullying and controlling methods are. You're doing good work with this.

This is one of my favourite. .If nit my favourite podcasts. I always have it on to fall asleep to ...is this normal lol ? Great podcast. Well written Factual and easy to follow. Wish there was 2 a week but hey....perfection can't be rushed lol.

How do you know it wasn’t? You so

@FM : Why was this movement included in a podcast that’s supposed to be about destructive cults? It doesn’t even fit the definition of a destructive cult you yourself repeat. To me, this seemed more like the hosts themselves were outraged and wanted to feature the movement as a dadaistic freakshow. Claiming it’s directly responsible for someone’s suicide is as valid as claiming that playing Metallica backwards makes you hear Satan’s call. This was it for me, thank you. I’m done.

On the subject of Leftist political cults, you might take a look at the Workers' Revolutionary Party in the UK, under the leadership of Gerry Healy. Clare Cowens has written a great account of her time in this weird Trotskyist Cult.

Just a small point: in part one of the episode on the Workers' Institute, you refer several times to the 'Communist Party of Britain' as the parent party from which the WI split. It was in fact, the Revolutionary Communist Party of England (Marxist-Leninist), later renamed the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist). The Communist Party of Britain, Britain's largest CP, was not formed until 1988, as a split from the old Communist Party of Great Britain.
