Surprisingly I think he did love his daughter. He said that he could not kill a child after she was born. These psychos can compartmentalize their evil side and become adept at faking normal human interactions. Denis Raider had kids and reputedly they had a good childhood. The Golden State killer DeAngelo actually seems to have stopped his murderous spree when his kids were young.

The Couriers were both brave as all . They met the devil incarnate this day . Nothing could have saved them from this monster once he was in. Get a dog or two is my advice . Chilling.

Yeah the narrator’s voice is quieter than the interview commentaties. A little annoying.

I thought that I knew quite a bit about Israel Keyes but this podcast has already given me new information and perspectives. Keyes is the Boogeyman alright and fascinating for that very reason.

I was so moved by the way you did this story. I get it, I know what he did was wrong. But I cried at the end of this. The world is a crazy, cruel place. Thank you for doing this and the way you did it. So open minded. So natural as you should be i think, as a reporter basically. I truely appreciated ever minute. This is the best podcast I have ever heard. So much love for you. I wish you all the best.

Yeah, he’s just totally annoying. He’s enjoying his own bullshit story telling to fill in time. Lots of talking in riddles and padding out his sentences. He’s almost acting like he’s one of the investigators and second guessing what they want or are looking for. Waste of time. Every time he started with the bullshit, or laughing, or his little anecdotes, stick him in a cell for a week and say ’oh well, you’ve got nothing else to offer. See you in a week.” Repeat until he stops the indulgent beha

Listening to the interviews, half the time he replys with details that the investigators have given him. I think he made a heap of thisup, because he was enjoying sounding like the smartest guy in the room. A pathological liar.

Sounds like the Claremont killer here in Perth Australia. Job, wife, child, social, kids sport etc.

1 years ago reply 0

Nope, you should have left this out. His arrogance and detachment are sickening. The laughing and weird observations about a bad batch of cable ties etc are unbelievable. I fast forwarded the details once I realised how detailed it was.

I’m having such a hard time understanding how an investigative podcaster cannot say some words properly. It’s a massive detriment to the show. Poly. Graph. Polygraph. Not polyAgraph. Iron. Eye ern. Not eye ron. How can nobody have corrected this by now? I refuse to believe that nobody has said anything, is Josh this stubborn? I will never be ahle yo hear this voice without thinking that it’s attached to someone not to bright 🫤

Bro hall and oates maneater redo waa badass fpr end of show . So good.

I'm actually starting to think that he actually might have stalked alot of his victims over time. Also I'm starting to see how we have endorsed the myth of Keyes, I think because he had lived/visited places all over the place that he wasn't so meticulous, maybe just incredibly lucky.

2 years ago reply 1

Listening to these detectives interview Israel Keyes is so frustrating. They don't seem to be actually listening to what he says or what he doesn't say (which sometimes says more I believe). So many wasted opportunities!

2 years ago reply 0

Haha just realised the reason for the podcasts title! Love this series, especially the Israel Keyes seasons.

2 years ago reply 0

Ha! I wrote down that suicide note. I read that the FBI said there was nothing in that note that pointed to victims. I thought when he said he would shoot someones tires at a stop sign or back road sounded just like that note.

Geez, the end of this episode tore me up! I've never felt anything like this while listening about a serial killer

3 years ago reply 1

Its so sad that his daughter would hear this preacher saying this stuff about her dad. I'm not saying that he deserved anything good said about him but they could have just said nothing for his daughters sake

Once I'm settled in my new job I'm doing the patreon because now I'm obsessed and I want to see the fbi files so bad! I'm constantly wondering now every time I hear of a missing person within his timeline. After more than 10+ years of true crime I've never become obsessed like this. Thanks Josh 🤣

3 years ago reply 1

Now anytime I hear missing person's case I wonder if its him. If it fits the timeline

3 years ago reply 1

I'm conflicted here. On the one hand, this is the most in-depth insight into Keyes, in which he treats everyone with such distain and scorn to the point of disgust. But, the other side of the coin is having to listen to the completely inept, sicophantic fawning of the cops is just toe curling embarrassing. But, the final straw is you, calling him Iz. Like he's your mate. It's so inappropriate, unprofessional and disrespectful to the victims. I'm out. Very very disappointing.

Well, as I got further into the podcast you say what I just posted above 😂 sorry about that

3 years ago reply 1

So the fact that he returned to see if the car was taken and he also returned to the kiosk several times the night he took Samantha we can safely assume that he may have traveled back to kill sites to see if the person or sites had been found ?
