Ok, here’s my conspiracy theory. The powers that be, whatever you want to call them, allowed such high DeSantis victory to make him feel overly strong and encourage him to run against Trump. Who benefits the most from dividing Republican voters in such a way? A quick, decisive victory in one particular state and shenanigans everywhere else.
