After 52 years in one evangelical denomination, 20 of them in fulltime ministry, and then another 13 years of wilderness wandering trying to find a place to fit, I began the real work of learning and living the more beautiful gospel at age 65. It has been 10 years since then and I’m still learning new ways of being.

”Is there a film?” Yes there is a Love Comes Softly film and it stars Catherine Heigl before she got famous. It‘s... what you‘d expect.

Man, I'm reading Adventures in Missing The Point right now! Why no spoiler warning on this book that came out... Checks copyright... in 2003? Ok... fair.

Great episode, as always. Why did you leave this one so long before publishing it?

It was a very interesting conversation. I'm not completely sure about it all though yet. I was disappointed though that you both skipped talking about how angels and demons fit into it. Will there be a podcast episode about angels and demons (and Satan) in general? I am struggling to find out where they fit into my faith and how.

#2 interesting! Good conversations about evolution/ creation! I would love to hear you gave Ken Hamm on (young earth guy). I don't believe all his thoughts, and I think he's stuck in dogma, but it'd be interesting to also give him space.

Very interesting. I would love to hear your thoughts on the complementariam without hierarchy view presented here. I love Church of the City New York | The Controversial Jesus - Jesus, Women, and Leadership, let's play it! https://www.podbean.com/ea/dir-e8jgh-412d726

Have you heard of Molonism? I'd like to hear a podcast on that

Jesus didn't say, create disciples or they'll all burn forever. I think we're doing it wrong. You can change a person's works but you cannot force a person to have faith in a certain way, and that means dead faith. Why would God create all the people groups of the planet and then say, well some of you are damned...? I take issue with that. Besides--Christianity stole much of itself from Judaism and the Egyptian religious practices. We are by no means original and frankly, we are arrogant to believe that we can judge God's purposes through a book that never says this thing one single time.
