Love it!

@RoxyVR : Cravings are no longer existing and my secret is drinking the acv, spicy water mixture and I carry a bottle where ever I go. I drink drink and drink and at times forget my eating windows and have done 24hrs+ because of this and not felt hungry for 2 days. Drinking and having it on hand is so important for the cravings and boredom. Jaws wanna move. Drink it up and keep busy.

I eat my meal during my window period and have mentally registered that once the meal is done, its done. Window period closed regardless. I do 20/4, have lost 5kg since 8 Oct which is permanently off. So regardless of the hours I have fasted, my window period is daily 12pm to 4pm. I do not eat from 12 to 4 but have my 1 meal. Dinner usually made early which is now healthy foods for the family. I make my own drinks. Water, acv, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, cayenne, cumin with 0cal sugarcane liquid

This is extremely important! This is the main problem! No tasting in between or break the insulin phase! not worth the bite! Sorry Jen, sorry me!

You’re arbitrarily assigning calories to each diet structure. Change the calories eaten per mean (in any of the structures) and you change the amount of the weeks required to lose the designated weight.

Medical aid companies in South Africa have told their clients if they get more exercise they get rewards and possibly reduced installments. Fitness watches linked to their profile etc.... Big hype this side.

Day 5 of my 1st time fasting. 98.1 down to 94.9, done my 1st 24hrs but made it to 38hrs. The longer I didn't eat, the more energy I gained, making me realise how obese I am and my body CAN survive! I feel amazing. Podcast nr5 coming up, I will soon catch up. Thx for yours help and advice along my journey, I believe I found what I've been looking for! That RESET. Oh, I'm asthmatic, my 38hr session, I forgot to take my meds and guess what? No breathing problems but took them anyway just.

If you feel you need it to keep going than absolutely. Some sea salt in water, a pickle spear or two, lots of water can all be helpful as well.

@sams13 : What is your take on bone broth when doing a prolonged fast? I'm building up to my first 72hr fast. (Hopefully next week) 42 is my longest and I find 36hrs easy, the energy increase is indescribable.

Yes!!!! If you haven’t feel free to download the fast start guide on our website. Totally free and comes with a 20 min mini master class on how to get started! Not that you need it after reading Dr Fungs guide of course! We did find however that it is tough for some to start so maybe it will add some perspective! Thanks for the listen and the feedback!

@sams13 : Extra great couple of podcasts, and so relevant to what has been going on. I utilised the lockdown (as they coined it in the UK) to read (One being Dr Jason Fung - Complete guide to fasting) and get properly on my fasting life journey. I only recently discovered your podcasts and making my way through them all. Thank you for your knowledge and sharing it with us.

Thank you for getting back to me, knowing 7 is acceptable helps alot as I seem to feel more fatigued and groggy if I have 8hrs.

Hi! Great question. 7 is a great target. Less than 6 not great. I shoot for 7:30 a night. Some nights better than others of course! Thank for listening!

@sams13 : Loved this episode. I was aware of some of the specifics you covered, but there was a whole bunch of new stuff. Is 7 hrs acceptable?
