Do kids with ASD have problems with putting themselves in other person's shoe.I have heard that children on the spectrum lag behind when it comes to cognitive empathy because of their decreased ability to recognition facial expressions. Also I have heard that these children may have strong affective empathy.Only if they are able to recognise facial expressions they would actually be able to feel with the person right?.Or is it possible for them to exist independently from each other?.
