If voting is almost useless, why are so many millions of dollars spent on trying to get us to do it?

Excellent non-partisan analysis of a complex issue. These types of episodes are why I’ve been a loyal Freakonomics listener for many years.

National accreditation wouldn’t work for attorneys because laws vary from state to state, but I see an advantage for physicians. Anecdotally we hear that when a physician loses his license in one state he just moves to another, and I know for a fact that dentists do this too. Wouldn’t a national board limit this?

Going into real estate as a realtor is very much like joining an MLM — there’s very little money in it except for those at the top.

Anyone believe that Kevin Sears comes across as believable/crediible?

Fraud is EVERYWHERE!! When it starts at the top in the Oval Office with a conman, convicted felon as president, it can do nothing but trickle down to all aspects of society. Academia is one of the last industries to fall.

I would like to know how to go about being tested to be “delabeled.” I was said to be allergic to penicillin as a child — a determination that I do not believe is accurate. How do I get tested without being billed thousands of dollars for testing my greedy healthcare insurance company will say is “unnecessary”?
