Is openness to new experience not a basic character trait - irrespective of previous experience/s - as are other (CEAN) traits? Forgiveness is a huge factor in healing and moving on from previous abusive/traumatic relationships; as is Talking, Tears and Time... Fear can paralyse: Instead God gives us a spirit of love, power and a sound mind. Romans 1: Being unthankful, and not worshipping God as Creator - in control of everything; this leads one to create and worship other things instead.
