I used to be a faithful follower of this program, but this is the first time I’ve been able to find it. So thank you so very much. It brought me a lot of laughter and now it still is!

These monologues are brain gems: little treasures that always cheer me & warm my heart. And seriously indulge my funny bone😄 THIS one's prob'ly one of his best, ever! I've inadvertently heard it 3 or 4 times, & still.... ROTFLMAO!! It's a crown jewel in a treasure collection😊 GK's one of the world's best story tellers, hands down. He's a balm for torn & broken hearts. He keeps me sane in a bewilderingly tortured world. Thank you, Minstrel. I'm so grateful

Love this series. Wish it was still going. Interesting how he’d sound during these times with isolation with covid 19.

Back in the 80s I was listening to Garrison Keillor telling a Lake Wobegon story on my way home from work. When I got home I sat in my car for 10 minutes so I could hear the end of it. When I went inside, my wife was crying because she thought I had gotten fired and I didn't want to come in because I didn't know how to tell her. Lol

Beautiful...one of my favorite Wobegon tales. Garrison Keillor tells this one in such a lyrical way. Like listening to a ghost story over a campfire...

"Folgers coffee, the coffee of our grandparents, the coffee of those valiant people... It gave them hope." God I love that.

Barrac obama states in his own books that he used cocaine and hookers in his youth...i bet you would still br eager to offer any content from that much more deeply flawed man. Garrison surely made mistakes and like all of us probably improved as a person as he matured. But unlike most of us he produced truly entertaining and universally valuable radio content. A real shame you choose to bow to the dark side where political correctness rules the day and symbolism prevails over reason...so sad!

Wow...the extreme left leaning media in this country loves to tout itself as tolerant yet allegations from a long time ago are enough to deprive an enlightened world of some of the best decent and ecclective entertainment ever

Pathetic this app won’t play this stuff now. Not sure what else to say....pathetic. Goodbye.😡

Wow.... I'm stunned. What a witch hunt this has become. I am both saddened and horrified at what appears to be censorship without trial. GK may be "flawed" by some social standards... cut him some slack. A bit "rough and rowdy" was THE NORM for men until recently. If he was 20 years old, I would have different expectations that he be "enlightened". GK is an amazing talent - and a product of his era. Shame on this app for censoring him. I'm uninstalling. Ugh!!!

Without News from Lake Wobegon this is just another app on my phone taking up space. See ya.

GK has (alleged) personal issues which he needs to deal with as prescribed by law. Until and unless he is found guilty of anything his work should remain in the public domain and to wipe it away - even from podcasts! - is knee-jerk cultural fascism. Where are we going with all this?

They stopped because Keillor touched a women's bare back. I
