As a kid growing up in the 70s and ’80s, Leonard Maltin’s books were absolutely vital to my family. Almost every single day we’d be referring to it to see what Leonard thought about a movie we were going to watch, had watched, somebody had told us about, it didn’t matter. We needed to know what Leonard thought! I just can’t believe how wonderful it is that he shares this podcast with us. I listen every single day!

I will try to keep this short: Somewhere in the late 80s thru early 90s my mother purchased a Malten Movie guide. I discovered movies I had never known, directors/actors and other movies they directed/acted, and all in all the world of film as art. It became a field guide to discovering myself as a young man. I just discovered this podcast and now have listened to most of the back episodes and gone to your online sites. Thank you for being you and your wonderful daughter carrying on your insightful name.

I feel the same way. I'm 29, but only just been able to afford highspeed broadband and Netflix, so all of the great shows I've been hearing everyone else rave about, I can now watch!
