These woman on here trying to portray Monica as a ”delusional child” need to get a grip on reality. She was a consenting adult in a government position ffs. Stop playing the bs innocent victim card, you’re taking away her power! She has her own power, she played her part as an active participant NOT a powerless victim. FFS - these stupid old gits need to go away.

If you’re using sexist names - you must be a sad bad trump supporter

Still calling Christian nationalists “right to life”ers. They are not interested in the fetus or the child. Their misogyny is rooted in the need to control women and punish them for failing to accept their religion’s belief that women need to be controlled and punished if they step out of line.

Like Debra, I cannot bring myself to say “under gawd’ but i will stand . Same reason as she does now. Living in a big military town, I haven’t the strenght to be attacked by uber-citizens with pensions, free housing and health care, and private schools (DODDs). We are not a christian nation. I too will fight these fascists until my last breath.

Hey everyone, we don't need to find the racists, they come stumbling out of the woods themselves. Dumbass

@HP Lovecraft's Cat : We learned from the host that it’s ok for black Americans to want to live around people who look like they do. No such luxury is afforded to white Americans. When whites want to live together, it’s called white flight or.......”racist”. White Americans are the only group of people who are not allowed to advocate for themselves.

Very good podcast. I can't help seeing the correlation between Duke and Trump. The country seems finally ready for an someone like Duke as long as we can't prove they were in the Klan or the Nazi party. We're ok with White Nationalists though. Plus Duke endorsed Trump and he never denounced him

If David Duke was President, we would be much better off. Watch his appearance on the Phil Donahue show. Millions and millions of people support him.

Analysis by several women adds to how the conflict can be understood, even if you think you know what happened, you might want to complicate your understanding.

It's funny that you keep accusing trump of similar things, but he was cleared of the allegations... you sound like a whiny little Clinton supporting bitch. Just look at the government swamp and how many of the career politicians are multimillionaires.

I like hearing about the back story. I follow politics pretty closely but I'm finding out things I didn't know.

@renuka : Thank you for a wonderfully contextualised, engagingly presented series that made even a non-American like me come to a much deeper understanding of the complexities of this case than my ten year old self at the time grasped via the simplified media coverage. The effort to delve into the decades before and looking at what some of the actors are up to now made this work - it is also heartbreaking to see how far political discourse and public expectations of leaders have sunk so far :(

If you say Portland, you need to say which state. No excuses.

Thank you for this deeper dive. Learning so much about this time, as I was in High School when it occurred. Monica was brave and reckless.

What a great series. I had forgotten how strange that time period was and on reflection, it was weirder than I remember.

love Watergate. this podcast is a dream come true. Do an episode for each of the following. 1. How the entire scandals, trail, and hearings were covered by the podcast of the day, the radio. maybe some old radio talk shows, broadcasted specials, Dramatizations,, 70s tv news, etc 2. All the presidents men Two, sequel, all the events that happened to WOODWARD AND BERNSTEIN from where the movie ended all the way to 1980. 3. Mark Felt, Deep Throat 4. The real experiences of all the presidents men, honest recounting from the likes of Alexander Haig, Dean, Kissinger, Haldamen, earlickman, press secretaries, Alexander Battlefield, etc How the movie effected the events themselves, how it was received, a retrospective on the movie 5. Nixon's state of mind, mental health, and behavior during and after.,

I saw him when he was in Huntsville with Wallace. I'd almost forgotten. They lit the eternal flame. A year later they cut it off because of the energy crisis. Should have been a sign...
