PS he didnā€™t write any of the music. He wrote the lyrics. Dave & Reg created the melodies, John added his excellence & then Mark added lyrics. Thatā€™s why thereā€™s no more new stuff from him & still isnā€™t. Thatā€™s why he has his patreon begging bowl. No writing

Concerning the Exposeā€™ interview. You only have part of the story. The reason it felt like it happened so fast for Jeannette is because there were 3 original girls who toured for years and promoted Point of No Return and Exposed to Love and secured the album deal with Arista before the second lineup. Why does no one ever talk about that? Jeannette, Ann and Gioia took everything to the next level but there is a much more interesting story here. There are 2 versions of Point of No Return.

This interview with Chris Hayes is excellent, when I first saw Chris play his solo in ā€™Some of my lies are Trueā€™, I knew Iā€™d witnessed an incredibly talented guitar player, my air guitar could never keep up! What an interesting person Chris is and your questions were well thought out. Thank you for creating this.

Incredible guests over the years, stumbled upon Andre of Eight Seconds recently. Grew up in Ottawa and Almacanter is one of my faves of all time!

I loved her, sorry I ditched her records when I changed to CDs. I remember her in an interview, promoting ā€Youā€™re sexing meā€, the DJs were total jerks. I was so upset for her and felt powerless to do anything

Sorry it wasnā€™t what you wanted. Youā€™re welcome to start your own podcast, get him as a guest, and ask whatever you want.

@Geoff : Oh my gosh, man, can you please be quiet when your interviewee is speaking? Ask your question and let them talk! The constant stream of "yeah", "good", uh-huh", "interesting", etc., makes your interviews almost unlistenable! And 2nd, do a little homework, beyond the one album you know! I have been a fan of Wiggy Bits for over 40 years and was beside myself that l might get to hear him talk about it. Not only did you not know about it, he brought it up twice, and you steered him away from it!

So more than a bit disappointing for me. I am probably the only person on the planet who cares, or maybe Peppy too, for that matter. Anyway, l don't mean to be completely negative, you have a great idea for a podcast here and you have some fantastic artists on. I just wish they could talk more, and that a little more research was done before the interviews. Cheers!

This Tim Booth interview is a gem. Fascinating how the songs of Laid were plucked out of miles of tape by Eno. Great work Jon and thanks for sharing these inspiring conversations.

Just listened today - thoroughly enjoyable. I am from Lancashire in England like the great man himself- you did a great job of interviewing him. As a John Waite fan, this podcast was a real treat.

@davidknakamura : Nice! I saw John Waite a few years ago and he put on a great show.
