Dang, Delmer! “You don’t liberate some oppressors without some oppressors getting killed.” That struck me deeply!!! Makes me think of Christ’s way of suffering in order to set people free. In one theological model this can work - as Christ takes on the sins of the world he is not only the suffering servant/victim but also the ultimate oppressor. I need to wrestle those words for a long while.
