Good listen on background stuff... more of that type would be fun. Get Coach Batson or Smotherman.

I think the concept of 'radio voice' is fascinating. How different Tom speaks in a relaxed situation versus being on TV

Phil believes U of SC will beat Clemson in football at least twice in the next 5 years. Phil believes Clemson will win at least two more National Championship in the next 5 years. I understand wanting to troll both fan bases but no one with a brain would concur.

Larry, They pop Dabo’s graduation stat on the TV screen during a lot of our games. I think it’s 122 out of 126 seniors. Another great interview. Your most unconventional guests have been some of the most fascinating interviews. It’s people & stories like Wayne Coffman at the heart of what makes Clemson so special. I can only hope that the people in power are listening to the Podcast and continue to make smart hires in the future. Thankfully many wonderful and competent people have seen Clemson as a career and a family rather than simply a job. You aren’t a special place when your HR office has a revolving door. It’s people that come to Clemson and spend 20, 30, 40 years and touch the lives of so many that make it special. Even more fascinating is the fact that so many of these people retire yet stay here and get involved with the school and community in other ways. Unfortunately society is rapidly changing and not all of it is for the better. Clemson the town & university has changed much since my time playing on the hill as a kid in the 70s and as a student in the 80s, but it’s still a very unique and special place. It is my hope that we can continue to attract and hire people that make Clemson home rather than a stepping stone to something they perceive as bigger & better. For those constantly concerned that Dabo will leave Clemson, especially for Mama, I mean Bama, all they need to do is listen to your interview with Kathleen Swinney. Dabo may not use the the word never, but you can practically hear that word in her voice, in her emotions. It would take something truly monumental to pull the Swinney family out of those hills. I honestly think you can say the same for the Venables family and others on that staff.

Wow thank you! Really appreciate the kind words.

@hjgville : LDub killing it as a podcast host almost as well as he kills it as a journalist. Congrats on the best College Football podcast out there.

Larry, amazing interview with Jonathan Gantt. You absolutely need to have that follow up interview. I have never seen the video he talked about that started out as a documentary project. I would imagine a lot of other people haven’t seen it either, but would love to see it. Could you please have Jonathan provide you with a link that you can post here in the comments section so we can view that video? It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
