Thank you for your podcast and the emphasis you place on the truthfulness and reliability of Scripture. Thank you also for reading the first letter where the writer was convinced that regardless of modern so-called science, God's Word means what it says and is true. It is precisely this conviction that led me to the belief that Scripture describes the cosmos as geocentric and the Earth as flat and circular, not spherical. Once I set aside the assumptions and presuppositions of "science falsely so called," God opened my eyes to see the truth of the Earth as described in His Word. Whether you agree or not, I think it is unmistakable that the inspired writers of Scripture believed the Earth was flat (as all ancient cultures did). The question then becomes, were they describing the Earth as it is in reality, or was God accommodating their ignorance? To me, the latter amounts to lying since God would not have revealed the truth to them, and we know that it is impossible for God to lie. "Let God be true and every man a liar." (Romans 3:4) P.S. Your avatar for this podcast is a straw man since most flat earthers don't believe in the solar system as you display it. Search images of the firmament, and you will see that it as a hard glass-like dome to which the stars are fixed, just as Genesis (1:14-15) says. Thank you for your time and God bless, Jimmy Coates Laurel, MD
