Loved the early Bobby Hill reference.

I really enjoyed this episode. You asked for our AOL screen names. Do you even see these comments??

The Atlanta child killer was obviously framed with dodgy evidence and bad luck

Fascinating. I have zero interest in religion so never followed this story (am in UK too, so not big news here) and basically thought it was just a typical hypocrisy tale.

What Michael says about a relatively small group of newspaper /media editors being able to gatekeep opinions and what we the people get to hear about news is exactly right. It’s why, for all its many faults, I love social media. Some of what we hear now is undoubtedly untrue, maybe even dangerous but we’re no longer being fed only what those who think of themselves as our betters want us to know & you can navigate the dross if you’re careful

You made this podcast in 2019, so Jan 6th obviously didn’t mean anything to you both apart from the event you’re discussing. Listening in 2023, it has a whole extra dimension!

Absolutely fascinating. I knew some of the stuff around Feynman’s views but the Diane Vaughan part is new and at the same time utterly obvious if one has spent any time in large organisations.

10 minutes in, nothing has really happened, and the depressed drawl.of the main host is pretty off-putting.

Well, I enjoyed this episode immensely and have already listened to it twice. There is a lot of information to unpack here, and I’m going to have to listen to it at least a couple more times to absorb it all. Insightful conversation, guys!

Renee Richard’s herself said she would not have tried competing in professional tennis had she been in her 20s when she transitioned because ”it would not have been fair to the other players, I would have mopped up the court”

I am confused where you are telling about James read being banished, then catching up with the Donner party who have gone ahead. They are all the Donner party I thought?
