I love the way he puts words together. There are those who are even more magnificent at the art of vocabulary and linguistics, such as Christopher Hitchens, but Steven is also in the pros...

As an addict in what I'll call semi-recovery, this is as if it had been pulled directly from my thoughts

None of these ideals can be tested truly because they all would be applied to a situation that already is and not a blank slate. If you try to rid the world of billionaires through redistribution of wealth they can simply grind to a halt, all sorts of things, so that you never could find out if it was a good idea to begin with. Such a thing is going to gradually change...or not. There is no simple single answer to anything and those who believe so are a danger no matter what it is they are about

I really need to change some of my lifestyle habits so that I can hopefully witness some of these things. I have believed for some time and fully expect humans to digitize ourselves and shed these mortal coils making it possible to, amongst other things, live in environments that aren't as particular. Oh I wish I'd been born a century or two from now. What will the masses do when their heavens and hells are rendered irrelevant by immortality?!

I never have actually learned about the selling of indulgences. Heard of them, yes. Heard this described, no. It is hilarious and nauseating to the point of stomach churning all at the same time. Absolutely depressing. Every day I am reminded that we are apes....

This brilliant podcast led me to :Stephen Fry reads "Sherlock Holmes" and it's awesome, he is so good at doing many voices and accents, he also read all the "Harry Potter" books way better than the movies. I hope he brings more books to life >^_^< THANK YOU!
