Godfrey is the standard in church history!

I feel like this removes the joy from the Gospel. Isn’t the good news that our works are but filthy rags because of His gift? Sure, we are obedient, but we fail, we make mistakes, and can be confident that we are still loved and still saved. We need to look to who He is and what he’s done rather than what we do.

For the most part I enjoy the teaching. I have to comment on the Feb 14 message ’no expense spared’. You need to be very careful with your wording when talking about Jesus taking our sin. The Bible never says that He became a sinner or that the Father saw Him as ”the greatest sinner who ever lived”. Rather, our sin was placed upon Him so that we would receive His righteousness. He ”became sin”, not ”a sinner”. 2 Corinthians 5:21.
