Fair attempt to present recent situation in Ukraine. I found Tim’s statements to be politically one-sided to paint a balanced picture. But, again Ukrainian and West media are under tremendous attack of russian propaganda, so the listeners must exercise caution!

I wished you’d pushed him on the institutional racism of international student fees. Foreign students never took classroom spaces from local students. Unis never created more spaces or services with those fees. If we dropped the fees, schools would stop using international students as cash cows. Then the feds would need to pay proper operating costs for unis.

It honestly seems like your experts don’t go outside. The assumptions about potential harm are based on a world that is not reactive and people are overwhelmingly reasonable. They aren’t.

This isn’t up to your usual standard. Biased and poorly sourced. Reread Sy’s report. Also check the history of the pipeline. Do you have CIA/US affiliations or have you failed to dig hard enough? Are you lacking sources and contacts? Reach out to some of the others covering this material. I’m an old lady and remember the events SH reported. His integrity has been repeatedly proven.

I listen to this podcast daily and normally enjoy it but this one is very poor. It lacks any real scientific and policy discussions. I’d recommend this week’s Drum beat by the Economist.
