I love the way Joy uses the arts to explore the depths of humanity.
Would Klara as a robotic computer ever be able to have a spiritual encounter? That is have a spirit and have human understanding at the same time? thank you!
This morning I read Psalm 93. I hope you can also as it covers waves, floods, and God’s house which is adorned with Holiness. 🌊
Oh wow! My book club is reading this to discuss next week. So perfect to benefit from your podcast. It’s been extremely helpful so far. Thank you!! When I read the entry on p. 167 “The Ketterleys are an old Dorsetshire family,” I literally gasped aloud, “Uncle Andrew!!” From The Magician’s Nephew. I have felt I was wading through water but now I know I won’t be able to stop! Your insights have helped me get lots more from this. My friend and I have encouraged others in our group to listen, too!
The section was so short, but this episode is so long. Much too long to listen to tonight, but can’t wait to listen in the morning!
This was so beautiful, and true. It's something I haven't thought about very much, but it really touched my heart. Thank you both so much.
What a wonderful book. The Christmas Carol has been a favorite of mine for many years, and it is lovely to revisit it. Thank you so much for doing these podcasts. They have brought so much joy to my life in the middle of this pandemic. Merry (late)Christmas, and a very happy New Year. In the words of Tiny Tim, “God bless us, every one!”
I think of the soldiers who stopped fighting and celebrated Christmas. It’s that mysterious and global. Thank you sharing this episode with the masses. A continued Merry Christmas 🎄 and an ever~learning to be gentle and loving New Year to you and your family.
This is such an amazing podcast episode, Joy! Really fascinated by Holly's perspective on Tolkien and the literary influences of other modernists.
such a great podcast episode, Joy and Alan! Thank you so much, very insightful.
such a great list- even a few I hadn't considered before
Another inspiring conversation to meditate on, I am always deepening my faith and knowledge of God from this amazing podcast!
inspiring content! so many great things to ponder
This is so true! I'm always told how surprisingly well-spoken my children are for their ages, and I don't say that to boast, but to prove the importance and impact of simply speaking to and with your children! Honor their intellect by giving them the capacity for expressing themselves through language and writing!
So special to hear you both talking about a book that you shared and about the value of walking to the beat of your own drum! I wish I had met Meg when I was a teenager!
Thank you very much! Very good episode!
just what I need right now
