This 3-unit online course will provide you with an understanding of the importance of finance in healthcare and basic financial and accounting skills needed by all health professionals. The course covers core concepts in both financial and managerial accounting and supports students in applying relevant financial techniques used by healthcare managers and those charged with key capital investment decisions including: ratio analysis, cost-volume profit analysis, discounted cash flow and forecasting. It also serves as the unifying course for the Health Management Certificate offered by the School of Public Health.
We will be interviewing experts in the field of implementation science to help you understand the concepts that we will be learning together in this course.
