When you can.push through something that you think you are not good at, you are building a skill that can grow beyond the math classroom you are discovering ways to solve problems creatively...that goes way beyond math.

5 problems to show an answer of 5 blue fish. I wonder what questions first graders will come up with! Awesome podcast! Thanks!

Great discussion on equity and compassion especially during this time. One of the most frustrating things about virtual teaching is difficulty getting assignments returned. It's so important to remember that everyone is dealing with this situation the best that they can. Job situations, device and internet access, family settings, personal well-being. There is so much that we have no control over and we need to be gracious and encouraging now more than ever.

I teach at Illinois School for the Visually Impaired, my question is how to teach math skills from a distance when many programs are not accessible and students are all over the state? These students already have obstacles to attaining math skills now we aren't in the same room. I'm trying to plan for the new school year for both in class and online learning.

The trajectory tells us the path for kids, and the standard tells us what to do! Love this quote. Thanks for sharing this information!
