Love this show! But something is wrong with the audio on this one. It skips and warbles.

I applaud you for editing out terms related to weight numbers and diet foods. This is changing the narrative in my personal journey of recovering from obsessing on what other people weigh and eat. My food and my weight is my own. My nutritionist, who specializes in eating disorders recommended you as part of my healing process and your podcasts are life-affirming and changing.

Regarding the diet mentioned in this program, I stayed with it for six months and during that time, I gained. It was my 2nd to last diet.

Wow. I was really excited about this podcast and the first episode I listen to, she slams vegans/vegetarians saying they are "not making a big difference for the environment" and "potentially harming their mental and physical well being and making HUGE sacrifices". Newsflash, consumer demand, or lack there of ABSOLUTELY makes a difference for the better. And maybe not discourage a growing group of people.

This episode made me cry. I learned more about my PCOS here than I ever have from doctors who only tell me to lose weight or go on the pill. They also only discussed the fertility related symptoms with me. I felt so affirmed hearing about all the other symptoms, especially the mood related ones and the insatiable drive to eat. All my life experiences make so much more sense when viewed through the PCOS lense described. And to learn there are other possible treatments for my symptoms??? Life changing! I can't wait to sign up for Julie's online course. And I'm so excited for your book, Christy. Thank you for all that you do.

Oh my God thank you for naming the tyranny of body positivity piling on the tyranny of diet culture. Loving this episode so much.

Christy, I love your podcast so much and I'm so grateful I found it. I appreciate the focus on self-compassion and mindfulness and humanity. That's why it's hard to hear you putting down yourself and others for being still caught up in diet culture or diet mentality. "Ugh, the worst!" You said this about your former self, and similar things about others who haven't yet found their way to HAES. While engaging in fierce activism, I would still like to hear more kindness and compassion in how you speak about folks who aren't there yet-- both because kindness creates a better energy in the world and because others can't hear you when you are insulting them.

How do we balance positive body image while having workout and fitness goals? I struggle with being content with what my body looks like without working out, but I feel better after working out. How do you think women could balance fitness goals and positive body image?

Great content but am I the only one who notices she says 'right' after every statement?? So annoying

This was my least favorite episode so far 😬 The guest was a boring and I felt like the topics weren't as geared toward the relevance of the podcast as they usually are.

Hi. I listened to this yesterday. I'm relatively new to the HAES movement. I liked what you both had to say. It was freeing. But I am confused by one thing...I am overweight (not just a bit), and I want to be healthier, fitter .. I don't like or trust diets. And I feel like eating intuitively would a) allow my body to let go of some weight, and b) allow me to let go of control. Is that hypocritical? I know you said we need to let go of our diet mentality, and I feel like I am, but I still want to be healthier. Confused!

This podcast was so inspiring and spoke to me on many levels. I am going to get my husband to listen to this one not only to help him understand but why it's important for our family to eat the same food at meal times :))
