Nahum preached against Nineveh in 660 BC. The inhabitants of Nineveh had forgotten about God and how they came to repentance under Jonah.
Nahum announced God’s judgement upon Nineveh, as they had abandoned God and returned to violence, idolatry and arrogance. Nineveh was to be destroyed and never rebuilt!
