Ecclesiastes reminds us that chasing “more” is like chasing the wind — pure vanity. We keep reaching for better, bigger, faster, richer… living in the land of -er, yet never finding rest for our souls. But Scripture shows a different way. It is better to have one hand open in gratitude than two hands full of striving. When we stop comparing and stop grasping, we finally see the blessings already in our lives. Let’s step out of the land of -er and choose contentment, simplicity, and thankful living — the place where God restores our peace.
