NWA Commentator, Joe Galli is part of the three person team that will be calling the 'Alwayz Ready' PPV on FiteTV this Saturday, June 11, 2022.
Editor's Note: This interview was conducted prior to Matt Cardona's bicep injury. We wish the NWA World's Heavyweight Champion a speedy recovery.
The current National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) World's Heavyweight Champion, Matt Cardona has not only lived up to his moniker of being, 'Alwayz Ready', he has even gotten a Pay Per View (PPV) named after himself. The 'Alwayz Ready' PPV takes place at the Knoxville Convention Center, in Knoxville, Tennessee on FiteTV this Saturday, June 11, 2022..
“As World’s Heavyweight Champion, Matt Cardona insisted that if he was to be compelled to go to a storied NWA territory like Knoxville, Tennessee and defend the championship, he would only appear if the June 11th PPV was in his honor,” said NWA President, William Patrick Corgan. “This event, named after his singular catchphrase ‘Alwayz Ready’, will feature his entrance music as the show’s sole theme, and all promotional materials therein will include his brand and likeness; including no less than a modified NWA logo which now reads MCWA (Matt Cardona Wrestling Alliance.) Now all that’s left is for the champion to be ready to live up to his requests.”
Although Cardona is claiming that he is the only NWA World's Heavyweight Champion to ever have a PPV named after him, although he is forgetting that Ric Flair had the, 'Flair for the Gold,' Cardona has proven himself to be the world's best, whether we like it or not.
I spoke with Joe Galli, who along with Tim Storm and Velvet Skye make up the three-person NWA commentating team regarding Cardona receiving his own PPV that will solely feature his own music, which that we have to give him as a first.
Galli discusses the significance of the NWA in the world of professional wrestling and how they are not even in their own lane, they are on their own highway. The success they have achieved under Corgan and the world that awaits them this Saturday on FiteTV.
Tickets are on salw at NWATix.com with various pricing from VIP down to general admission.
