The science of Astronomy is not often given much time in school. If it is taught, it is not seen as having much to do with the other sciences, and it doesn't play any importance in our daily lives. Astronomy, however, is one of the earliest sciences, and through studying it we learn to understand our world better. People have studied the stars for thousands of years, and their discoveries influenced the way we study science today.
