Welcome to Self-Evident and Forgotten, a podcast on the truths of liberty and odd opinions! Hosted by Stanton, Kristi, and Cody, we explore the beautiful ideas often forgotten today that have given life to a free, peaceful, and prosperous society.
A couple of weeks ago, the United States Senate passed a $1 trillion dollar infrastructure bill, the largest in over a decade. It's the byproduct of bipartisan compromise, with President Biden and Senate Democrats sacrificing grander plans and Republicans acquiescing to some greener projects. But we here at SEF have a critical question: does such a spending plan fit the often-forgotten ideas that made our country spectacular?
Here's a link to the Freakonomics episode on infrastructure. Worth a listen for a detailed look on how progressives and conservatives see the issue differently.
