Sometimes it feels like the word expert no longer means what we think it means, which sounds nuts. In an age where everyone seems an expert on line, some people really are experts are in their field but are banned, some experts really aren't experts but we are told they are has led to an interesting time of both "expert" idolization and "expert" skepticism. While being an expert and needing experts is a wonderful thing the Broads take is that it does not mean that everyone is smarter than yourself in certain matters and a good dose of scrutiny seems wise. Too much blind trust in trusting an expert you don't really know has always proven folly. Good old fashion discernment is in shorter supply than expertise it seems.
