I was an 18 year old senior in high school when 9/11 happened. This year was the first time since then that the anniversary passed without me noticing.
I wanted to get a group of friends and colleagues together to talk about the event, how they experienced the day, and how it changed their lives. That’s what this bonus episode is about. It’s rough, and weird, and conversational.
* Kevin Knodell is on. He was 12.
* Aram Shabanian is here. He was 10.
* Jason was an adult, flying home to NYC on the day, watching the world change on a TV screen on the back of an airline seat.
So come and listen to some inappropriate laughter, weird remembrances, and an ending rant from Kevin about Afghanistan that’s worth the price of admission. He has a clear eyed view of what happened at the end of the war, what we owe the Afghans, and a few choice words for President Biden.
