Hey Friends & Kin!
Today's episode is our 1st w/a guest interview. Gina, Soul Creator of The Bedroom Bartender joined us for a lovely conversation. We discuss so many things from JUNETEENTH & why it is so important to celebrate our ancestors, supporting black businesses, self-care, Drake mimosas & we also play a new game - "What is Auntie Drinkin'?"
What exactly IS Juneteenth...
"On June 19, 1865, General Gordon Granger rode into Galveston, Texas, and announced enslaved people were now free. Auntie MeMe's jam this episode is, "Juneteenth Jamboree" performed by Gladys "Fatso" Bentley. Our question for Straight Facts is from Stefaney in Jacksonville.
