When Hannah learnt her cousin Lauren died overseas, she was shocked.

Lauren didn't tell anyone in her family she was going on a trip, they only learnt she was in trouble via a message from a stranger.

Lauren had gone to Malaysia for an alternative therapy, and something had gone wrong.

Hannah spent years investigating Lauren's death, falling into the same social media spiral that had led her cousin to seek help outside Australia's medical system.
