Challenger has two distinct but complimentary businesses, Life, with its annuity products and Funds Management. As an insurance company, they need to make sure they have funds to support very long term obligations and roughly 75% of its assets are invested in fixed income. I caught up with Sam Morris, who has recently been promoted to general manager, strategy, to talk about the business, and what’s in the pipeline, market trends and what he hopes to achieve in his new role.
