I get this question all the time. “I went to school to be a wildlife biologist but I don’t want to work for the state, is there another option?” Zack Vucurevich is showing us exactly how to go about that with his Whetstone Habitat Consulting.
Wildlife management is one of the coolest jobs you can have as a wildlife nerd the problem is that if you go work for an agency you are more often stuck behind the desk and not doing the thing you actual love.
Zack is setting out to chart his own path and hoping that he can make a living consulting for some of the top hunting properties in the country. In this podcast we talk about the path he is on and some of the struggles. We also nerd out on whitetail management a bit and talk about the product he offers.
