Luigi Mangione, the Ivy League graduate accused of executing the CEO of United Healthcare, is expected to plead guilty in federal court, according to two reports. Mangione is set to go on trial in Manhattan in September 2026 for the murder of Brian Thompson. Thompson was executed in midtown on December 4, 2024. A guilty plea could result in Mangione's state trial being canceled.
