The discipline and structure of the Marine Corps drilled into me a commitment to every cause I took on. Years of pain, frustration, and setbacks gave me a relentless determination to get back up and keep going. My successes fueled my drive, and even my failures gave me fire to keep pushing forward.  What I’ve learned is simple but powerful: I can’t expect my future to be handed to me by someone else.
