Self-awareness is freedom: Though it is quite scary but necessary. The real challenge that presents itself is both explicit self-awareness but realizing the judgements that other people have of you doesn’t all translate into what and who you really are. It’s a reality that whatever actions you might take, virtuous in all its inception, they somehow will gain detractors. There will be people who may not like you despite all your best qualities; does that mean we should exercise our self-awareness to change? Well, this will just lead to self-consciousness, fear and anxiety. You can’t please anyone and everyone, but that doesn’t mean there is no validity and lessons to be learnt from others.
