Jerrel O’Neal is a native of Detroit MI. He is an NAACP Award winning actor that attended Alabama State University were he received his B.A in Theater under The Direction of Brian Martin, and Tonea Stewart. He went on to sign an professional acting contract to B Street Theater in Sacramento, Ca. Jerrel is The "Marvin Sims" award recipient for the 2010 KCACTF National acting competition. Some of his work includes August Wilsons "Jitney" (Booster), Loraine Hansberry's "A Raisin In The Sun" (George Murchison) , and Shaka Senghor’s "The Cell" (Trey). Since moving to California, He has starred along some of Hollywood's biggest names such has Loretta Divine, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Harry J Lennix and Grammy Nominated R&B Singer Ledisi. He is currently starring and producing his hit YouTube show “Jones” as the lovable Ali. He Also Directed several projects one of his most recent being “Sunset Baby” by Dominique Morisseau. Also being former track & field athlete with many accomplishments, He became a coach at Burbank High School in California, where he brought the team back to the top of there league winning the title in 2016. Several of his athletes went on to continue their dreams in college. Being from the Motown he also has the biggest love for music and dance. Since college he has been teaching Detroit/ Chicago style ballroom. Now teaching in La. As well as recording and writing his music. He is a man that truly knows us in gods gifts for the right reasons, will allow you to receive everything that suppose to come from it!! Be inspired!!!
