In this episode of Middle East In Less Than Five Minutes, I explain why the podcast is no longer always five minutes long. As we cover the history of Israel, the Arab-Israeli conflict, Middle East geopolitics, and antisemitism, many topics simply can’t be explained honestly in five minutes.
What started as quick explainers has evolved into deeper conversations. Some stories—like the history behind antisemitism, the politics of the Middle East, or the Israeli-Palestinian conflict—require context, evidence, and full explanations rather than sound bites.
This short interlude explains why the format changed, why some episodes now run 10–20 minutes, and why the mission of the podcast remains the same: explain Middle East history clearly, challenge misinformation, and preserve historical context that is often missing from modern debates.
Episodes will now be exactly as long as they need to be—sometimes five minutes, sometimes longer.
If you have feedback or topic suggestions, I’d love to hear from you.
