Groundhog Day - February 2nd - (Episode 2) - ”The Confession”

The loops grow darker. Each funeral is more accusatory than the last—eulogies twist into indictments, mourners stare with open contempt, and Claire's body in the coffin looks worse every time. Helen tries to escape, but every road leads back to the church. Finally, standing in her sister's empty grave, she finds the ring—and with it, the memory she buried. She was there the night their mother died. She took the ring. She left before dawn and let Claire believe their mother died alone. Two years of lies collapse in a single confession, spoken to a corpse in an empty church. Claire's eyes open one last time. "I knew," she says. "I forgave you. I just wanted you to stop lying."
