Eckhart encourages everyone to be who they are at the deepest level. He says anything we achieve on the horizontal plane will also have a downside. Therefore, he encourages us to not get too attached to outcomes. He says as we reach a state of deeper consciousness, we learn to transcend the polarities of good or bad and we simply align ourselves with what is.
