According to Deadline, Wells has been tapped to co-write the script for Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3 alongside Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, the latter two of whom wrote Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018) for 20th Century Fox. The duo of Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin wrote a previous draft for the Marvel Cinematic Universe-set Deadpool threequel before Wernick and Reese were ultimately brought back into the fold.

In new behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Vol.3, shared on Twitter by director James Gunn, Cosmo's voice and motion capture actor Bakalova looked thrilled to be cuddling with Slate. Gunn credits Slate as the movie's "very friendly onset mascot," as well as the reference for Cosmo. Slate and Bakalova both played the role for the first time in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which revealed that Cosmo had become a member of the Guardians, and they reprised the role for Vol.3.

Former ABC president Paul Lee recently stated that he believes Agent Carter would have been far more successful if it had been developed under Marvel Studios instead of Marvel Television.
"Look, structurally, don’t forget, it was at a time when Marvel movies and Marvel TV were separated. So I think one of the reasons it would do better today is that the platform is used to it," Lee told TheWrap, believing that Agent Carter "would have sat brilliantly amongst" other Marvel Cinematic Universe original series like WandaVision and Loki. He continued, "But it was a great early suggestion of where the Marvel brand could go and very useful to everybody." All Marvel series were overseen by Marvel Television head Jeph Loeb until December 2019 when the division was folded into Marvel Studios, placing president Kevin Feige in charge of all MCU content.
